The GSMA has released a video showcasing the potential of NFC (near field communication) controlled mobile keys. We’ve previous written numerous previous blog posts on the potential of NFC, and this video provides a superb overview of the uses and benefits of NFC mobile keys.
The video shows hardware and software performance from access control specialist Assa Abloy, and demonstrates how NFC on a mobile phone can be used to unlock doors, log into a conference room system, and how temporary keys can be sent between NFC enabled mobile phones.
